Our mission is to provide our students with a learning environment designed for innovation... a place that keeps kids never wanting to leave.

About Us
Julie Leach and Tosha Miller, Elementary Teachers in Frankenmuth, MI, were MACUL’s 2015 runner-ups of the Outstanding Technology-Using Pre K-12 Classroom Teacher of the Year. Known to their administrator as Phineus and Ferb for keeping everyday in the classroom an engaging learning adventure. Julie and Tosha are innovative, technology advocates who lead by example.

With a background in business and design and a Master’s in Instructional Technology, Julie and Tosha are leading innovators in educational technology and transforming the classroom environment inside and out. They serve on numerous curriculum and technology committees, they have been part of the Science Teacher Leaders for Phenomenal Science Team and members of the Dow Corning/Saginaw Valley State University Fellowship Program. As authors of their blog twosassyapples.com, speakers at conferences, successful grant writers, and project funders this duo opens their classrooms to others, connects with experts across industries and models the effectiveness and success of collaboration.

Julie and Tosha have fostered a collaborative classroom… a hands-on, actively engaged environment where learning comes to life.  Together, they have designed inspirational environments that promote student engagement, increase learning, promote collaboration and enhance brain development, a place that promotes stamina and higher level of thinking through discovery,  problem solving, creativity and teamwork.  This powerhouse keeps kids “never wanting to leave school”.
