Makey Makey

Our students have explored with the Makey Makey in the classroom, on several occasions….we did go through a few bananas as they figured out how to make it work J. They also used PlayDough, Model Magic, quarters, base ten blocks...and more!

Students are now taking turns taking the Makey Makey home.  I made a QR code and attached it to the top of our box.  The QR code when scanned shows lots of ideas of how to use the Makey Makey.  I love hearing about the students’ experiences, with this great device, and how their families get so involved with the exploration!

MaKey MaKey is an invention kit for the 21st century. Turn everyday objects into touchpads and combine them with the internet. It's a simple Invention Kit for Beginners and Experts doing art, engineering, and everything in between:

Any material that can conduct at least a tiny bit of electricity will work. Here are some materials people have used in our workshops including Ketchup, Pencil Graphite, Finger Paint, Lemons, etc

Thanks to one of the members, from the MACUL Macomb ISD audience, for sharing this great resource with us...our students LOVE it!!!  Thank you!!
